As a licensed airfield, we are able to teach the disciplines necessary for the use at a busy airport or private airfield as well as visiting the smaller strips.

We also have links with Cambridge and Southend for instrument training, essential for learning to fly in all weather conditions. Andrewsfield is situated approximately 12 miles east of Stansted in Essex, just off the B1256  between Dunmow and Braintree.

The airfield has a history of it's own. It was the first to be built by the Americans in this country during world war II. Originally known as Saling Airfield, it was renamed in memory of the first C.O., an American Colonel of the USAAF, who was killed in Greenland.

There is a comfortable clubhouse with a licensed bar and restaurant, fully equipped briefing rooms, pilot shop and offices.
